What is Aspirin used for?

Used for pain relief, fever reduction, and inflammation. At low doses (75-150mg), used as a blood thinner to prevent heart attacks and strokes in at-risk patients.

How does it work?

Aspirin permanently blocks COX enzymes, preventing the formation of thromboxane A2 (which causes platelets to clump together) and prostaglandins (which cause pain and inflammation).
