What is Omeprazole used for?

Used to treat acidity, GERD (acid reflux), stomach ulcers, and heartburn. One of the most prescribed medicines in India for stomach-related conditions.

How does it work?

Omeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). It blocks the enzyme in the stomach wall that produces acid, dramatically reducing stomach acid production.
