What is Pantoprazole used for?

Used to treat excessive stomach acid, GERD, stomach and duodenal ulcers, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Often taken before breakfast for best effect.

How does it work?

Like Omeprazole, Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that blocks acid production in the stomach by inhibiting the hydrogen-potassium ATPase enzyme.
